AUVSI 2016: Fire Scout deploys with next-gen controls

In partnership with the US Navy Raytheon has developed an advanced mission control for the MQ-8 Fire Scout with the first littoral mission taking place on 27 April.

Navy control hardware and Raytheon control software have been combined for flexible command and control of Fire Scout missions in littoral waters.

The deployment of advanced mission control for the Fire Scout was carried out on USS Coronado, one of the navy’s newest Littoral Combat Ships (LCS).
