Farnborough: Thales launches Free-Fall LMM

Thales ADW has used the Farnborough International Airshow to unveil its Free-Fall Lightweight Multi-role Missile (FFLMM), designed for lightweight platforms and unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Speaking to Shephard, Thales ADW director of marketing and sales Ricky Adair, said the FFLMM was developed in response to a market driven need for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) platforms that offered a strike capability.

‘It’s been recognised that ISTAR systems undertaking reconnaissance work may have the need to prosecute engagements with a threat they’ve picked up. This free fall high-precision glide munition provides that capability,’ said Adair.
