Farnborough: Rotron to supply engines to CybAero
Rotron has been selected to supply the propulsion system for CybAero’s Apid 60 VTOL UAV, it was revealed at the Farnborough International Air Show on 16 July.
Rotron – part of Gilo industries group - will be supplying CybAero with both gasoline and heavy fuel versions of their RT600 engine, depending on the customer requirements.
‘This contract is the result of CybAero winning a £65 million contract, this is a significant development for us in terms of our heavy fuel engines,’ explained Charlie Nicoll, head of group operations for Gilo.
