Farnborough: Insitu to extend family with larger platform

Insitu has revealed plans to develop its largest-ever UAV in order to answer evolving requirements of military forces operating in Africa and Asia-Pacific.

According to Ryan Hartman, senior VP for programmes at Insitu, the company is designing and a more powerful Integrator variant which will see its maximum take-off weight increase from 135lb to 165lb. The larger model will be able to carry a 65lb payload, compared to the existing 40lb capacity.
