Farnborough 2010: Taranis will transform UK military capabilities

Speaking at Farnborough International Air Show BAE Systems officials have hailed the company's recently unveiled Taranis UCAS demonstrator as a ‘truly transformational' asset for the future military capabilities of the UK armed forces.

Revealed last week at BAE System's Warton site, the UCAS demonstrator has been developed to demonstrate the way relevant emerging technologies and their integration are able to deliver battle-winning capabilities and inform UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) decisions on the future mix of manned and unmanned fast jets within the UK armed forces.
