AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) moved to finalise the operational rules for commercial use of small UAS on 21 June, a move widely expected following the apparent accidental publishing of information online 24 hours earlier.
Due to take effect later in August this year the rule, known as Part 107, ‘offer safety regulations for unmanned aircraft drones weighting less than 55lbs (25kg) that are conducting non-hobbyist operations’, according to the FAA release.
