Eurosatory: At the end of the tether

ECA Group have shown the IT180-999 tethered UAV system in public for the first time, as they pursue potential programmes in France and other countries worldwide.

The system can act as a surveillance platform once deployed from the back of a manned mobile platform and also a radio relay station. 

It is a tethered version of the IT180 UAV but due to the tether, which acts as both a data transmitter and power supply, the system can operate at endurances beyond untethered platforms.
