Eurosatory 2012: New customer for Puma AE

AeroVironment has received a $10 million order from the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) for its Puma AE UAV.

The Pumas will replace the Danish military's current Raven fleet, and it is believed that 12 systems will be delivered, with each system consisting of three platforms and one GCS.

'Denmark has bought the Puma UAVs to replace our old Raven systems that we've had since 2008,' Bent Christensen Bech, chief of fire support and sensor branch at DALO, told a media briefing during the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, France on 12 June.
