Europe needs small UAV reform

The European RPAS community must steer away from its current ‘patchwork’ legislation if it is to have a positive effect on the global unmanned market.

Speaking to Shephard at the UAS Event at Twickenham Stadium, London, European Commission (EC) director of aviation, Matthew Baldwin described how 15 of 28 member states in the EC currently have their own national legislation and that only eight members have taken the first steps to allow common RPAS activities across the continent.
