Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
Lockheed Martin will demonstrate the ability of the K-MAX UAV to combat forest fires in conjunction with the company’s Indago small VTOL unmanned aircraft.
Announced at the Euronaval exhibition in Paris, the company said that in late-October it will show firefighting authorities how the two unmanned systems can work together to first survey a fire and then put it out using the lift capability of the K-MAX.
The demonstration will take place at Griffith's Air Force Base in New York. This comes after Lockheed Martin announced in April that the Indago UAS was ready for deployment.
