Euronaval 2016: Patroller could have maritime future

Safran are looking to secure the future of its Patroller tactical UAV with the potentially addition a maritime surveillance capability, as countries in the Middle East and Central America position for local production in the event of a deal.

The platform was recently selected by the French Army to provide unmanned ISR for its forces and will replace the legacy Sperwer system, which although tried and tested in battlefields such as Afghanistan is far less capable than its successor.
