EU UUV project ready to complete

The EU-sponsored development of a UUV for port security is expected to transition testing from Lisbon to Athens over the next few days as the programme starts to wind down, according to product manufacturers.

BMT Group was contracted in 2010 to carry out the four year research effort into the utilisation of UUVs for port security under the Security Upgrade for Ports (SUPPORT) programme, which is due to be completed by the end of June.
