As ECA Group announced the delivery of the second Inspector Mk2 USV and associated subsurface inspection systems to Russia, the in-country production of the fourth vessel is also being explored.

The company said integration of the first system, delivered at the end of 2016, is on-going with preliminary sea trials taking place in June 2017. Full system integration will be completed in the next few weeks at Sredne-Nevski Shipyard (SNSZ).

A third system will be delivered at a future date, however it has also emerged that a contract option fourth USV and associated equipment could be produced in Russia.
