DSEI 2017: BAE's Ironclad shows its strength

BAE Systems will showcase its new Ironclad UGV at DSEI 2017, a UGV designed to provide ground support capability to the armed forces.

The company is looking to provide the solution for casualty evacuation, as well as other applications. Two Ironclad UGVs can be connected to handle additional loads such as a specialised stretcher system. It can transport up to 500kg of equipment.

The company claims that: ‘Each UGV frees up two soldiers who would otherwise be needed to carry the casualty.’
