DSEI 2015: UKTI showcases industry (video)
Representatives from UK Trade and Investment Defence and Security Organisation (UKTI DSO) used the DSEI exhibition to showcase various technologies on offer from UK industry.
Unmanned vehicles are increasingly able to assist in firefighting and rescue operations as technology improves and user experience mounts, according to Lockheed Martin, who produce the rotary wing K-MAX in conjunction with Kaman Aerospace, and the Indago quadcopter UAS.
In a statement a released ahead of the DSEI exhibition at London’s ExCel centre on Tuesday, Jay McConville, director of business development for unmanned solutions at Lockheed Martin, said the controlled application of unmanned systems would ‘provide great capabilities to…many missions, including firefighting’. The market itself was growing and would continue to do so as further uses and capabilities were explored
