Digital Wasp AE SUAS introduced
AeroVironment has launched a digital upgrade to its Wasp SUAS, which has already received an order from the USAF.
Announced during the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, Florida on 22 May, the Wasp AE (All Environment) weighs in at some 2.9lb, and the USAF has made a $2.5 million order as part of the Battlefield Air Targeting Micro Air Vehicle (BATMAV) programme.
'This is an upgrade to our 1lb block III system,' Stan Nowak, creative marketing for UAS for the company told Shephard.
