Denmark details drone strategy

While recent dialogue in the UAV community has centred around regulation and standardisation, countries are starting to take matters into their own hands. Denmark is one of those pushing ahead with its National Drone Strategy.

The impetus behind the strategy, one of the first in Europe, is to foster and develop drone technology showing governmental commitment to UAS. The strategy came into effect in September.

This was heavily emphasised through the allocation of DKK 30 million ($43.8 million) to a new drone research institute.
