Defexpo 2014: Tata displays new Cruiser UAS

A new unmanned aerial system (UAS) from Tata Power SED has been displayed at the Defexpo exhibition in Delhi.

The Magline Cruiser UAS has a maximum take-off weight of 35 kg (Cruiser 1) and 50 kg (Cruiser 2) and has a wingspan of 3.6 m and 5.2 m respectively.

These two larger Cruiser UAS models have a mission duration of 6-8 hours and 8-15 hours and have a maximum cruising speed of 30 m/s with a fuel consumption rate of 0.7 kg/h and 0.9 kg/h.

Tata also provided details of its mini Cruiser UAS that is just 5 kg when
