As part of a three-year contract, Cyberhawk will provide its visual asset management software to an oil and gas operator during the construction of a new petrochemical complex in the US, Cyberhawk announced on 16 April.
The operator was seeking a detailed software solution for its construction project that would allow a digitised view of UAS-captured data such as orthophotos, spherical images, 3D point cloud models and videos collected on-site on a weekly basis.
Cyberhawk was selected to provide drone content management and distribution services through its visual asset management software, iHawk – a cloud-based software that hosts inspection and survey data from various sources and has industry-specific solutions for the wind, utilities, oil and gas and infrastructure sectors.
The main phase of the project is already underway, which involves the construction of processing units, cooling towers, rail and truck loading facilities, water treatment plant, office buildings and laboratory at the new petrochemical site.
