Curtiss-Wright to support Triton
Curtiss-Wright Defense Systems has been awarded a $7.53 million sole-source contract from the US Defense Logistics Agency, to support the MQ4-C Triton maritime UAS programme for the USN.
Work is scheduled for completion by February 2022.
In all, the USN is expected to procure a total of 68 MQ-4C Triton aircraft. According to a budget report for the 2019 fiscal year, funding has already been allocated for 65 aircraft.
In January 2020, the first deployment of a MQ-4C Triton UAS was announced to Guam for its initial deployment in the Pacific theatre.
