Jammer resistant drone designs spark search for countermeasures
The Russia-Ukraine conflict has driven another stage of evolution for drones and the counter measures to defend against them.
Clearpath Robotics launched their new Jackal UGV at the International Conference for Intelligent Robots and Systems held in Chicago on 15 September.
‘We designed Jackal for quick and easy application development,’ Julian Ware, general manager for research products at Clearpath Robotics, said in a statement.
‘Jackal’s standard accessories come fully integrated with documented libraries and programming examples. Everything about the robot is ready to work out of the box,’ Ware added.
The Jackal originated as a contract from US Army Research Labs (ARL) to create an affordable, portable research platform for outdoor use.
