Chinese Peoples Liberation Army to display new UAV

Elements of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are expected to reveal at least one new UAV during the upcoming 1 October military parade celebrating the 60th anniversary of 'The Founding of New China.'

The parade will also show personnel and equipment from the Chinese Navy, Air Force and Ballistic Missile Corps.

In a mid-September briefing to several Chinese news outlets, Lieutenant General Fang Fenghui, general director of the parade, indicated that the event will highlight ‘fifty-two types of new weapon systems developed with China's own technologies.’ Specific types of weapon systems identified included airborne early warning and control aircraft,
