China advances UAV tech

China's UAV industry is emerging in both military and civilian sectors, employing 3D-printed UAVs and a new military UAV.

A Chinese Antarctic Expedition Team has used 3D-printed UAVs, while the wraps have come off the Divine Eagle twin-fuselage UAV destined for military applications, according to local news reports. 

A story on the 3DPrint.com website, stated that since November 2014 the expedition team tested six UAVs in the Antarctic's severe weather conditions. The craft made by Hunan Mengjing Three Dimensional Technology took just over a month to design and 15 days to produce on a 3D printer.
