Cabure III UAV pre-production completed flight test campaign
The pre-production version of Nostromo´s Cabure III UAV, a short range tactical UAV, with electric propulsion, completed its flight test campaign in order to qualified avionics integration, performances and tactical capabilities. The Cabure III is the latest version of Cabure UAV family being in development and production since 2006 by Nostromo Defensa.
The new Cabure is the result of close cooperation between Nostromo Defensa and the Argentine Marine Corps (Infanteria de Marina de la Armada Argentina-IMARA). The Cabure II was evaluated in several operational exercises with the IMARA, and from that experimentation several design changes were done in order to improve the UAV system as well to enhance the operational envelope capabilities such as:
- Lower the acoustic signature
- Extended both the range and endurance
- Recovery in water
The Cabure III will be excellent cost/capabilities options for the Latin American Marine Corps as an ISTAR tool, able to be launched from landing ships, fast semi-rigid boats and with recovery in land or sea. The Cabure III has been tailored to the typical requirements and operational characteristics of the Marines.
