Bell ready to accelerate V-247 programme for USMC requirement

Despite lacking a date for the unveiling of a V-247 unmanned tiltrotor prototype, Bell is confident that it will be able to meet the USMC timeline for a group five UAS requirement.

The USMC has confirmed that is to looking to have an early operational capability (EOC) of its large group five UAS by FY25.

The EOC will include one or two systems per marine expeditionary force, a total of three to six systems, capable of land-based operations.
