Bangladeshi MALEs come under scrutiny

The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is seeking to join the ranks of nations operating a MALE UAV, with the release of an RfP for one such system that would comprise 3-4 aircraft on 7 December.

To be procured alongside a mobile ground control station, sensors, air-to-ground missiles/precision-guided bombs and spare parts, the BAF listed specifications such as a 140+km/h cruise speed, maximum speed of 200+km/h, a flight ceiling of approximately 6,000m and a payload capacity of at least 120kg.

The armed UAV’s maximum range will be 1,000km. Additionally, its minimum endurance is 15 hours when only sensors are carried and
