SCTX 2018: Avenger UGV logs first customers

NATO countries Bulgaria and Romania have ordered a number of Avenger UGVs, just a year after Med-Eng unveiled the new system.

Six of the platforms have been purchased and are designed to fill the gap between small and large UGVs, Andrew Miles, sales director, Latin America and Canada at Med-Eng told Shephard  at the Security and Counter Terror Expo (SCTX) in London.

Miles could not specify how many platforms are destine to be used by each country. 

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) is also believed to be interested in procuring the platform in addition to potential customers in Europe,
