Avalon Airshow 2009 - Sentient confirms Kestrel GTI aboard Scan Eagle and Wasp

Sentient Vision Systems has confirmed that its Kestrel vision processing system is being used to process imagery collected by Boeing Insitu Scan Eagle unmanned air systems deployed operationally into the Middle East theatre of operations on behalf of the Australian Army.

The company has also revealed that the Kestrel suite has been demonstrated in cooperation with an Aerovironment Wasp mini UAS during trials held in Thailand in May 2008 as part of the joint Thai-US Cooperative Operations Applied Science and Technology Studies (COASTS) field experiment.
