Avalon Airshow 2009 - Phoenix target drone ready for commercial sale this year

Australian-based Air Affairs says its Phoenix low cost aerial target system will complete development by the end of this year allowing for its release for commercial sales.

The company is already offering advanced development phase aircraft to provide services but has restricted release of the system pending completion of test and qualification of the type.

Air Affairs managing director Chris Sievers says that the existing development aircraft are highly representative of the final target drone configuration, with minimal changes anticipated in the production standard system.
