AUVSI 2018: SkyRaider gets first public outing ahead of further demonstrations
Aeryon Defense looks to have stolen a march on the competition at AUVSI’s Xponential in Colorado with the first public unveiling of its new Group 1 UAS, the R80D SkyRaider.
The system has been developed to meet the specific requirements of the US Department of Defense (DoD) and designed to be operated within small unit formations for a range of roles, including surveillance and critical payload delivery.
Presenting the system on 30 April, company officials told Shephard that the first ten units were currently being demonstrated to potential customers ahead of wider distribution and field testing in June.
