Three year old Californian company, NXT Robotics has developed the Scorpion UGV portfolio and is looking to take the autonomous platform to security markets globally.
Scorpion 2 is able to operate within indoor and outdoor environments. It is a rugged, all-terrain, all-weather system which Darin Anderson, CEO of NXT Robotics, told Shephard was a hybrid of hardware and software.
‘It’s easily configurable and is able to perform certain missions for physical security. It is an extra pair of hands for security guards,’ Anderson commented.
The Scorpion 2 is constructed in Nevada – at the proof of concept stage Anderson explained
