AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
Canada-based UAS operator In-Flight Data is hopeful of gaining permission from Transport Canada Civil Aviation Authority (TCCA) to start BVLOS flight tests in the country to aid in efforts to create new regulatory guidelines for such operations.
The company has teamed with senseFly for the flights, which, if it wins the programme, will see 120 datasets created from some 1,500km of total flights during the course of 2018.
The information gained from this will then be made available to TCCA to evaluate the flights and inform ahead of future safety and regulatory requirements.
