AUVSI 2018: Flexibility is key for tactical UAS

As militaries become more accustomed to the current operational practices involving tactical UAS platforms, the demand placed on industry by these services to provide increased flexibility during operations has multiplied. 

Key among these are improved expeditionary capability, lowering the logistics footprint and greater autonomy of flight during operations.

To this end, technologies are being developed by industry to meet these needs, either through their own in-house processes, or else via partnerships and company acquisitions.
