AUVSI 2016: Insitu form commercial business unit (video)
Best known for its customers in various navies around the globe Insitu has announced the formation of a commercial business unit as it takes its experience in the military industry and applies to civil applications.
Speaking at Xponential in New Orleans CEO of the company, Ryan Hartman, told Shephard the company’s move towards commercial applications and how platforms such as the ScanEagle can cross over into the public market.
The applications in the commercial space for ScanEagle and Integrator include linear infrastructure and infrastructure in dangerous parts of the world, such as the Arctic or open ocean.
