AUVSI 2015: US Navy outlines vision for the future

The US Navy has ambitious goals for the future use of unmanned assets, which will see families of interconnected systems gathering information able to be share across the fleet.

However, as delegates at the Unmanned Systems exhibition in Atlanta heard, the navy needs help from industry to develop modular systems, common interfaces and the true automation needed for swarms of UAVs to operate across the battlespace.
