AUVSI 2014: Strong growth expected for unmanned systems market
The outlook for the unmanned systems market remains positive although production is expected to fall following a decade of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, a report by Forecast International has revealed.
Despite predictions of lower production levels between 2014 and 2023, Forecast International believes that manufacturers can still expect revenue to grow as prices of the new systems continue to grow.
The company expects production of approximately 1,000 units of all types in 2014 with output rising to nearly 1,100 units in each of the following two years. Thereafter, production is expected to average around 960 UAVs annually for the
