AUVSI 2014: Freewave launches WavePoint family

Freewave Technologies has used the AUVSI Unmanned Systems event in Orlando to introduce the WavePoint family of solutions offering high-speed connectivity for government and defence applications.

The wireless M2M communications architecture is designed to deliver secure, end-to-end, broadband wireless communications and is compromised of the multi-channel WavePoint 10e platform and several single WavePoint 20e modules, according to Ashish Sharma, CMO of FreeWave Technologies.

In addition to the support of unmanned systems, WavePoint supports biological and chemical remote sensing, dismounted soldier and vehicle tracking and remote military infrastructure monitoring.
