AUVSI 2014: Atlas Elektronik sees prospects in UUV market

Atlas Elektronik is positive about the outlook for the UUV market as it is promoting its unmanned vehicles family at AUVSI. 

‘All major navies around the world are looking to develop off-board counter measure mine systems,’ said James Kelly, System Design Authority, MCM Systems of Atlas Elektronik UK, at AUVSI on 15 May.

‘Doing so increases the pace of operations and also removes the operator from the minefield,’ he added.

The company is pushing ARCIMS (Atlas Remote Combined Influence Minesweeping System) at AUVSI as two systems are already in the final stage of delivery to an undisclosed customer.
