AUVSI 2012: Liquid Robotics looks to expand Wave Glider market

Liquid Robotics is to establish an office in Washington DC in a strategic effort to increase the federal footprint of its Wave Glider USV technology.

It is expected to be open in the next three months, and the new Liquid Robotics Federal subsidiary will benefit from additional resources and engineering.

Bill Vass, CEO of Liquid Robotics, said of the system: 'We probably make the only platform out there that generates its own energy. We're about long endurance with no support.'

The Wave Glider is designed to provide persistent performance of some 12 months.
