One of the panel presentations at AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America explored the possibilities of transforming military UAS operational lessons to commercial and civil applications.
Drawing from her own background as a former military UAS operator and trainer, Krista Ochs, now a trainer with General Dynamics Information Technologies, emphasised that ‘the paradigm already exists for transferring technology and technology advances that occur in combat to civil components’, reinforcing her point be pointing to ‘affinity of requirements’ examples within the medical and truck transportation communities.
