AUVSI 2012: Army highlights LEMV milestone

In her keynote address to AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America, Lt Gen Mary Legere, Deputy Chief of Staff, G2, US Army, highlighted this week’s first flight of the service’s Long-Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle (LEMV). The milestone flight occurred on 7 August at Joint Base McGuire - Dix – Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Northrop Grumman is developing and testing the long-duration hybrid airship system with an industry team that includes Hybrid Air Vehicles of the United Kingdom and others.
