ASI Marine is adding the 1000m rated Falcon ROV to its fleet, Saab SeaEye announced on 23 May.
The acquisition extends the fleet ASI Marine deploys to provide inspection, survey and diving services for inland underwater infrastructures internationally.
According to the company, ASI Marine chose the Falcon for its manageable size, good thrust-to-weight ratio, telemetry capacity and unlimited inspection duration. The 1000m Falcon with advanced iCON intelligent control architecture features five powerful thrusters for precise manoeuvrability and the ability to hold steady in turbulent waters and strong currents.
As a module-focussed concept, the Falcon offers continuous automatic diagnostic monitoring to ensure each device is fully interfaced and working correctly.
