Army explores Griffin missile for broader UAS application

Senior US Army leaders, speaking at the Association of the US Army (AUSA) annual meeting, point to exploration of broader UAS applications for the Raytheon “Griffin” missile.

According to Major General James R. Myles, Commanding General, US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, AL, some of the near term UAS initiatives being coordinated with the US Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) for Missiles and Space include the possibility of employing new lethal munitions on UAS platforms.
