Aeryon’s Skyranger receives TAA certification
Aeryon’s SkyRanger small UAS has received ‘safe to operate’ certification from the UK’s Type Airworthiness Authority (TAA), Marlborough Communications (MCL) announced on 22 February.
The TAA certification assures the UK MoD that commercial-off-the-shelf and military-off-the-shelf systems meet the specifications set out by the original equipment manufacturer.
The tests were based on verification and validation processes laid out by the MoD and ensure the sUAS is suitable for military use.
The next-generation SkyRanger sUAS, available through MCL, improves on the capabilities of the SCOUT, another of Aeryon’s sUAS products to provide increased flight time, dual EO/IR payload, HD video and extended flight range. The touch screen flight control interface and autonomous flight control software ensure better flight performance in harsh and dynamic environments.
