AAD 10: Seeker 400 ready in two years

Denel Dynamics is planning to have the Seeker 400 UAV operational in two years, with the first flight in the next 12 to 16 months, according to company representatives.

'We expect to have the first flight in 12 to 16 months and be in production with the 400 in two years,' Burt van Staade, business development manager UAV systems, told Unmanned Vehicles.

A model of the Seeker 400 was on display at African Aerospace and Defence 2010 alongside an operational Seeker II.

The Seeker 400 will be a much larger tactical UAV capable of carrying up to 100kg of payload
