USAF to get new F-16 simulator training devices
The USAF Life Cycle Management Centre is set to receive an unspecified number of F-16 aircraft simulator training programme devices from L3 Harris.
A firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded contract worth $7.79 million was announced by the DoD on 31 March.
It allows for the procurement of long lead items for Phase 1 production of Consolidated Unit-Level Trainers (CUT) which form an essential component of the cockpit and visual systems.
They are due to be delivered before 31 March 2022.
Financing is allocated from FY2018 USAF aircraft procurement funds and is obligated at the time of award.
