UK Strategic Command extends JCAST contract with MASS
Cohort subsidiary MASS will continue support for UK Strategic Command under a new Joint Command and Staff Training (JCAST) contract.
The latest two-year deal is worth more than £11 million ($14 million), MASS announced on 24 July.
Through the new contract, MASS will develop and implement exercises for Strategic Command at Northwood, including events involving other UK and allied organisations.
The contract includes design, planning, preparation, delivery and reporting of joint operational training at Tier 2+ and Tier 3 as well as strategic-level training led by the MoD at Tier 4.
New features include delivery of a Mark 2 Toolset Exercise Control team CIS, a new Exercise Planning & Management Tool (provided by MASS in partnership with 4C Strategies) and a new focus on social media modelling.
Chris Stanley, managing director of MASS, said social media modelling features will include the capability to support full-spectrum effect training as part of multi-domain integration.
