Triumph receives T-X systems order
Triumph Group has been selected to provide Airframe Mounted Accessory Drives (AMAD) and hydraulic systems to Saab for the Boeing T-X advanced pilot training jet being developed for the US Air Force (USAF), the company announced on 31 January.
Under the T-X programme, Saab is responsible for the aft fuselage and the associated subsystems. The company has selected Triumph to design, develop, manufacture and provide aftermarket support for the AMAD and hydraulic systems.
Saab is Boeing’s partner for the T-X programme. The programme intends to develop the USAF’s new advanced pilot training system to replace the aging fleet of the T-38 aircraft.
