Spanish Chinook sim gets an upgrade
The Subdirectorate General for Armament and Material Acquisitions (DGAM) in the Spanish MoD has awarded Indra Sistemas a €30.06 million ($35.83 million) contract to modernise a helicopter flight simulator system for the army.
Indra will deliver an overhauled heavy transport helicopter simulator system for the CH-47F Chinook.
DGAM did not disclose the completion date for this work, although Boeing is scheduled in 2021 to start deliveries in an upgrade of the Spanish Army’s 17 CH-47D Chinook helicopters to the CH-47F configuration.
