Sierra Nevada Corp (SNC) has received a contract modification for its work training pilots and maintenance personnel for the Afghanistan Air Force.
The $23 million modification was placed by the US Air Force’s 338th Contracting Squadron.
SNC provides A-29 pilot and maintenance training for the Afghanistan Air Force at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, and in Afghanistan.
The contract modification provides for the addition of US instructor pilots in Afghanistan. Work will run through December 2023.

The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
